Kinds of Resin

Resin Bond

Resin Bond

Resin Bonded surfacing is best described as gravel being "scattered" across a resin liquid applied to an existing hard surface. Resin bond is compatible with most kinds of popular outdoor surfacing, and is often the more economical option for those who already have a driveway, patio, or other hard surface that they wish to upgrade or otherwise reinvigorate.

Resin Bound

Resin Bound

Resin Bound surfacing is a pre-mixed gravel and resin liquid solution that is applied by trowel in a thicker layer, again, to an existing hard surface. This is often the best option for new projects as it has the most flexibility.

Resin makes an excellent choice for home driveways. It's a hardy and SUDs-compliant surface that makes a safe and dependable option when it comes to giving your vehicle an attractive place to rest.

There are many different colour options available for our resin paving. Edgings and gravel can be fully customisable for any home or individual. Just ask us!

Resin bound surfacing is made by mixing specific measures of aggregate and resin in a specialist mixer for the calcutated times, it is then trowelled down to a smooth finish with no loose stones.

Depths to which this surface is laid at is dependent on the use but it will need to be one of the following, 12mm, 16mm, 18mm or 24mm.

Resin bonded surfacing is known as a scatter system, this provides texture and gives the appearance of loose gravel.

A Layer of specialist resin is applied and then completely covered with loose aggregate, once the surface has cured (the required time has elapsed) all the loose aggregate is removed.

The thickness of resin bonded surfacing is determined by the size of the aggregate used but a 1-3mm aggregete will have a depth of approximately 4mm.

Resin bonded characteristics result in the finished surface being a rugged texture.
